With the game at 0-0, a defensive mishap from Arsenal allowed the ball to drop to Jarrod Bowen who squared to Tomas Soucek to put the Hammers 1-0 up. However, to most of the Emirates and many frustrated Arsenal fans across the world, the ball appeared to be out of play when Bowen crossed. Yet, a new video supposedly "proves" that the goal was right to stand.

Arsenal can be understandably frustrated at yet another close call going against them this season. In their defeat to Newcastle, Mikel Arteta bemoaned the decision to allow Anthony Gordon's goal with the ball also seemingly out of play in the build-up. However, whether technology is correct or not, Arsenal's finishing on the night was simply not good enough to deserve anything from the game.
