With Saudi Pro League champions Al-Hilal qualifying for the 2025 Club World Cup courtesy of their AFC Champions League win in 2021, Neymar has told of chasing down more major honours: “It’s an honor for me to play the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, defending Al-Hilal. The best clubs in the world and the best athletes in the world will be there, and obviously, this is where Al Hilal and my teammates should be. The expectations for the tournament are huge, and I’m sure that we’ll be ready to represent our fans.”

The revamped Club World Cup will take place between June and July 2025, with that competition heading to the United States. If Neymar intends to form part of Al-Hilal’s squad, then he will not be linking up with Messi and Co in Miami any time soon.
